The prince and heir-apparent to the elven Kingdom of Moreth. Despite his flirtatious and lackadaisical nature, he was generally well-liked and considered a welcome, more-levelheaded replacement for his father, King Theren.

Spoilers from The Call of the Void:

Alder is Laurent’s half-brother (they share the same father), and is ultimately murdered by his power hungry wife, Sarith, who then attempts to frame Laurent for the deed.
