Cepheid, First Star Goddess

Cepheid is the first and—as of year 489 A.C. (when the events of Shadows and Crowns occur)—the only Goddess of Stars and Prophecy. She is the second oldest of the Marr, having ascended shortly after Intaba, who is the oldest. Her powers include an ability to recognize patterns throughout the realms, as well as visions of the future and potential alternate timelines. She possesses the Animitar—the Map of Souls—which allows her to track the movement of mortal souls, and spot the most pivotal, potential world-changing beings among each realm.
