One of the two remaining elven realms in the empire of Kethra. Like all the elven realms, it is surrounded by an anti-divine magic barrier that keeps the gods and their beasts from entering it, while also suppressing the weaker gifts of divine magic that mortals carry. Its royal palace is known as Briarfell, which is located between the two ancient, historically elven cities of Torath and Galizar.
Laurent is technically a prince of this realm, and half-brother to Prince Alder, who assumed the Morethian throne after his father’s mysterious death. After Prince Alder is also murdered, Laurent becomes the one true heir to the throne.
After Casia becomes the queen of Melech, Laurent eventually returns to Moreth and rules it alongside Nessa Brightwood.
